The United States, France and Britain invaded Libya with cruise missiles, stealth bombers, fighter jets and attack jets. Although NATO has taken over the military operation, U.S. President Barack Obama has been bombing Libya with Hellfire missiles from unmanned Predator drones. The number of civilians these foreign forces have killed remains unknown. This military campaign was ostensibly launched to enforce United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973 in order to protect civilians in Libya.

Soldiers have put "trophy" photographs of the dead, mutilated, tortured on the internet. In August the BBC's documentary: "The Wounded Platoon", aired interviews with soldiers who admitted shooting Iraqi civilians and "keeping scores." (1) Abu Ghraib's particular testimony to freedom, democracy and liberation's bounties, will likely remain the mental monument to the U.S., military in Iraq, which will ring down the generations.

Perception management has been used to start the war against Libya and to garnish support for the aggression against Libya. This is part of a tradition that the Pentagon and NATO have followed. All the major wars the U.S. has fought in have involved major media lies.

The hyped, unverified hearsay coming out of Egypt, Libya, and now Syria regarding "alleged" brutal crackdowns on "unarmed" protesters has been lent legitimacy by being repeated through organizations like Human Rights Watch (HRW). In fact, nearly all of HRWs reports are merely collections of witness accounts, allegations, and hearsay, generally from protesters and opposition members and entirely devoid of any empirical evidence.

Bush campaigned on an anti-war, anti-nation building platform. Obama then pledged to roll back the agenda Bush swindled the nation into, only to then continue it in earnest. All along we have been treated to the theatrics of the corporate-owned media, with pundits on the left and right reacting in shock and surprise as these engineered events unfolded according to plan.

This has nothing to do with enforcing the rule of law, and everything to do with a renewed form of colonialism. A form which does not always, although does sometimes, involve direct military occupation, but rather the installation of governments that will uphold the interests of European and North American governments on our behalf. An ideology which stipulates that we know best, and that these sub-human Africans cannot be trusted to deal with their own affairs. A mind-set which values our own supremacy and legitimises us in a role of the world's police force.

Many of us are not blind to these facts. Our countries have been subverted from within, and our national government institutions no longer represent the interests of the people, but, instead, the interests of a small global class of corporate looters, and financial thieves who preach free-market economics but in practice they are fascist monopolists and authoritarians.

It has now been more than 3 weeks as african politic's life is moving. The whole world is actually plugged into the evolution of the impressive egyptian pcitizens protest which took the lead from the neirbough Tunisia which was also closely followed from the begining to the end. Yet Cameroon's media seems to turn their attention on Laurent Gagbo.
Since such a civil uprising really needs the internal media to give it the steam it needs to succeed mostly because the medais of the "Communauté Internationale" will do their best to disinform the outside world, one has to wander if such movement can happen in our own country?

At this point Cameroon Tribune should not be the only one to take public fund since they are all alike and do the exact identical job: Keep dictators in place.

Keep sitting on the fence. You are not concerned.

Dabs - Ba Zuinyon

Understanding Bamiléké Culture
The concept of name and surname as in Western's culture doesn't exist as such in Bamiléké Culture; where a concept of Name and Dabs is used. I'll translate Dab as Praise.

Like must African cultures Bamiléké people use the concept of Name & Titles called Dabs.
Only a name is given to a child at his birth and he/she inherits a list of praises linking this person to his origins by referring to his illustrious ancestors or distinguished contemporaneous relatives; or highlighting recognized products of the place where his parents come from or distinguished qualities (good or bad) of the people of that place.

We have suffered and are still suffering too much to allow injustice to perpetrate.

Yes guys, you know very well that some of us are forced to pay electric, telephone or water bill when there is no electricity in the area, when our telephone's cable has been stolen or our water pipes are as dried as if their purpose is to channel air underground; and yet we are billed and threatened to pay or face prosecution. This is not legal. We shouldn't be surprise that people are having blood pressure problems or dying of heart attack when they have to go through this not once in their live time but every day they are alive. Things remain the same over the years because this is not an atmosphere for business competitions vital for a nation's development and prosperity.

AES-SONEL, CAMTEL, SNEC which are electric, telephone and water companies must stop charging people for services they don't provide and Local Councils must stop charging tenants for rents charges extraneous to their contract live time.
These businesses/companies above mentioned must stop their illegal activities and consider damage compensation or face international prosecution themselves.

This is another blow of so many directed at national football's managers, former internationals like Bell, Biyicks, Mboma, Tataw, Nkono, Milla, Makanaky, Sinkot, Songo'o and others who are not only capable of running the team better than that but have the full right and priority over anyone else in the world.
